Sanitation: Keeping Every Dog Safe, Clean and Comfortable

When your dog steps into the grooming van, they’re not just getting a haircut — they’re entering a carefully maintained, sanitized workspace designed to keep them healthy, comfortable, and safe. Cleanliness is one of the most important parts of grooming, and it’s something I take seriously every single day.

As a solo mobile groomer, I’m responsible for every aspect of the environment your dog enters, and sanitation is at the top of that list.

Why Sanitation Matters

A clean grooming space protects your dog from:

  • Bacteria and germs

  • Cross‑contamination between pets

  • Allergens and irritants

  • Fleas, ticks, and parasites

  • Residue from previous appointments

Dogs of all ages — especially seniors, puppies, and those with sensitive skin — benefit from a sanitized, well‑maintained environment.

What Gets Cleaned Between Every Appointment

After each dog, I take time to reset the van so the next pup walks into a fresh, safe space. This includes:

  • Disinfecting the grooming table

  • Sanitizing tools like combs, brushes, shears, and clippers

  • Cleaning the tub and removing hair or debris

  • Wiping down surfaces that may have been touched during the groom

  • Refreshing towels and laundry

  • Sweeping and vacuuming to remove loose hair

  • Checking air quality and ventilation

Every dog gets a clean start — always.

Deep Cleaning Happens Daily

At the end of each day, the van gets a more thorough reset. This includes:

  • Full sanitation of the tub and table

  • Deep cleaning of tools and equipment

  • Disinfecting floors and high‑touch areas

  • Emptying and refreshing water tanks

  • Cleaning filters and vents

  • Restocking clean towels and supplies

This routine keeps the van fresh, hygienic, and ready for the next day’s pups.

Safe Products, Safe Practices

I use pet‑safe disinfectants and cleaning products that are effective without being harsh. Dogs have sensitive skin and noses, so everything used in the van is chosen with their comfort and safety in mind.

Why This Matters for Your Dog

A sanitized grooming environment helps ensure:

  • A healthier coat and skin

  • Reduced risk of infection

  • A calmer, more comfortable experience

  • A safe space for dogs with allergies or sensitivities

  • Peace of mind for you as a pet parent

Your dog deserves a clean, safe place to be pampered — and that’s exactly what the grooming van provides.

Thank You for Trusting Me With Your Pup

Sanitation isn’t just a routine — it’s a promise. I’m committed to providing a grooming environment that’s clean, safe, and welcoming for every dog who steps inside. Your trust means everything, and maintaining a spotless workspace is one of the many ways I honor that trust.
